Novgorod land continues to “ring” with ammunition from the Great Patriotic War
This year, about 100 explosive objects from the Great Patriotic War were found and removed from the ground in the Novgorod Region. Among the finds: high-explosive aerial bombs, mortar mines and artillery shells of various calibers, hand grenades, anti-tank mines.
The sappers of the demining group of the Novgorod Region Population Protection Department recommend that everyone know the first rule of conduct when discovering explosive objects: - immediately report the dangerous find by calling "112" or the police - "102".
The following 3 rules:
- When carrying out excavation or other work, stop work;
- It is good to remember the location where the object was found;
- Install warning signs or use various available materials - poles, stakes, ropes, pieces of cloth, stones, soil, etc.
If explosive objects are discovered, it is strictly forbidden to take any action with them.
